2023 Maryland Hospital Safety Ratings Released
In the spring of 2023, The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit healthcare watchdog, released hospital safety grades for 35 hospitals in Maryland, with several receiving top marks for patient safety.

At 7:30 a.m., a vehicle occupied by three people traveling eastbound on Mulberry Street collided with two light rail trains at Howard Street. Unfortunately, a female occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. Baltimore City Fire and Police had to extract the occupants from the wedged vehicle.
A 7-year-old child and 30-year-old man who were trapped in the vehicle have been transported to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation of the crash remains ongoing.
